If you are looking for a safe, nurturing camp that teaches young children to be good stewards of the natural environment, this camp is for you! Early Birds Camp is for students entering kindergarten through second grade. The camp will allow the young and often first-time camper many opportunities to explore, investigate, and experience a variety of nature-based activities. Daily activities will include science, music, art, movement, and swimming centered around the outdoor environment. A well trained staff will guide each young camper in these enriching experiences. The camp will run from Monday to Thursday, from 9am-3pm. Transportation is the responsiblity of the parent. Lunch will be provided each day.
Who Can Participate?
All Outdoor Education camps are open to any student who has an interest in the environment, making new friends, adventure, and personal growth.
Sheen Goldberg, Arlington Echo Teacher Specialist, and Sean McGuinn, Arlington Echo Outdoor Educator, will direct the camp. Our staff consists of AACPS teachers as well as college students with experience in the areas of outdoor and environmental education. Volunteer counselors-in-training support the staff in many ways.
