Camp Descriptions

 

6/21-6/24, 2010       Early Birds Camp (Entering grades K-1)

 

This is a weeklong, half-day camp for 20 first time campers who will explore, investigate, and experience a variety of nature based activities

 

6/21-24, 2010         Friendship Camp (Entering grades 2-4)

 

This is a 4-day/3-night camp for 40 campers who want to make friends through fun camp activities.  This child-centered camp is designed for the active learning style of young children.  Campers will participate in games, music, crafts, skits and other camping activities.  In addition, a learn-to-swim program, boating safety, fishing and crabbing will be offered.

 

 

6/28-7/1, 2010        Planet Earth Camp (Entering grades 4-6)

 

This is a 4-day/3-night camp for 40 campers who love to learn about the natural environment in the out-of-doors.  A variety of environmental hands-on activities will be combined with water safety and daily learn-to-swim instruction using the pool.  Additionally, campers will participate in fishing and crabbing, cooking out, nature crafts, small water craft safety and a variety of games.

 

 

6/27-7/1, 2010          Echo Adventure Camp (Entering grades 6-8)

 

This is a 5-day/4-night residential camp for 40 campers who want to participate in exciting outdoor challenges while learning about and exploring natural ecosystems. Campers will participate in a two-night offsite tent camping trip which features considerable hiking, canoeing, and field-based learning activities. The pool will support canoe instruction, swim skill instruction, and aquatic games.
